Do Turkeys Need to get Smaller?
Hello Everyone,
I'm writing about the new style of Turkey in the United States for Thanksgiving. The new craze is that people are getting lighter an therefore smaller Turkey's. I looked into this and I found out that this is because there are less people travelling to see their relatives. As you may have guessed this leads to less people around the dinner table which leads to not as many people to eat the turkey. So since people cannot eat a big turkey for they cannot finish it, they opt for a smaller turkey instead.
So before I go any further I would like to say that this is an edition of my news articles where I talk about something in the news that I find interesting. So I would usually tell you what number that is but I decided that it was redundant and am not going to do that anymore. So what I am writing about today is the new thing where people are buying small Turkeys instead of large ones for their Thanksgiving.
Okay so first of let's look at why there are not so many people around the dinner table as I had mentioned before. So the reason as most people know, is that because of the Coronavirus outbreak, people have been advised to stay inside by health experts. Now you already knew this much as COVID-19 has made people miss many different holidays so Thanksgiving is simply the newest one.
Now let's look at the economic impact because of this new turn of events. First let's think about grocery stores. They would probably have bought multiple big turkeys that were specially bred to be big and fat. This would make them a quick seller for people who wanted them on their dinner table for Thanksgiving. The shops would have stocked up as I had already said. A possible side-effect of this would be that shops would be passed over even though they specially got Thanksgiving Turkeys as I am going to refer to them. These Thanksgiving Turkeys would have been passed over as they would be extra cost and would not be finished. This would mean that big stores that had stocked up on Thanksgiving Turkeys would also be passed over. People would instead go to smaller shops that sold normal Turkeys.
That's my analysis. As always, remember to follow on the left, and comment below. Also let's celebrate that we have crossed the mark of 3000 pageviews. I hope that we can cross 4000 even sooner!
Thank you,
Until next time,
