What Is It Like To Get The Coronavirus (Not By Me) (2 Minute Read)

Hello everyone,

I have asked a friend who has gotten the coronavirus what it feels like. She has written an essay which is down here. She has now recovered. https://memyselfmiscellany920915548.wordpress.com/ This is her blog where you can see a longer version of what is here in this post.

COVID-19: Me, Myself & the Microorganism Crazy people like me who have no sense of the world, have no clue about coronavirus. Before this experience, I just thought this scary virus was a bad cold, and the Chinese were just exaggerating. My parents were very cautious and took many precautions, such as eating healthy and taking vitamin C tablets. My brother and I didn't like the tablet and found it way too sour. Our mom insisted that we took it and said that we were fussy. Later, when our doctor instructed them to eat it, they began detesting it even more than us
Very shortly after, our school ended; we were free. Well, for a week. After a week, my father made me wake up at 7:30 am to study Chemistry, using Khan Academy’s online tools. This annoyed me, but other than that, I was happy.
Right when we were adapting to this routine, the worst happened. I suddenly started feeling sick, one morning. It started with my eyes, and then, I sensed a bolt of pain run across my forehead; I gasped in pain. That second, the only thought running through me was this: "Do I have coronavirus, and will it kill me?" My parents assured me that I was fine, but they sounded worried too. I isolated myself in a room. In the beginning, I felt defeated and hurt, but later I realized that it would not be so bad.
My parents and I ended up testing positive. It was a rocky journey from there. My mother and I had to go in an ambulance to the hospital to get home isolation advice; to be honest, the experience was pretty cool. After that, we stayed in separate rooms, meeting only at mealtimes. My parents and I felt helpless at those times, and to look back at it breaks my heart, even now. Friends and family made us smile every single day, and I am grateful for them and glad that they could be with us virtually.

During this time, I learned a lot. I will never take the small things like water, food, family, and the gift of life for granted again.. Nineteen days made a tremendous impact on my life. It feels like this is a second chance to live my life to its fullest.
I hope you enjoyed this and realized what it is like to have the coronavirus. Please take the survey on "Please Take This Survey" and give me an idea for a logo on the respective post.
Until next time,
This is Chaitanya giving you Things To Think About
