A Pleasant Surprise! (1 Minute Read)

Hello everyone,

I have just received some signed books from Erin Entrada Kelly! My mother got them when she asked about some writing workshops. Here are some pictures.

I really liked this book because I could really connect with the characters. I also got 3 other books from her. I really liked the books that she sent me. It was lots of fun reading her books. I would suggest We Dream Of Space. It is about the Challenger mission and about how a family reacts to it. If you are looking for books to read I would suggest this book. Let me know whether you enjoyed the book or not in the comments down below. I am happy that I got these books!

Until next time,

My Hourly Updates On My Flight (6 Minute Read)

Image
Hello everyone, This is my live blog. MY FIRST ENTRY I have just gotten to Madurai airport and it is quite crowded. There is a flight to Chennai and a flight to Dehli. I will be boarding the second flight in a few minutes. All the stalls are open including food stalls among others. They have distributed face shields that are mandatory on flights and we must wear masks at all times. The washrooms are quite clean and they may even be better than usual. We are taking Air India as our airlines and they adjusted their rules to U.S standards. This meant that we got an extra check-in bag among other things. There is a ribbon that prevents 2 people from sitting next to each other. This includes family so right now I am not sitting next to any of my family members because there is an empty seat in the middle. Some of the stalls have been shut down though. I think it is simply because those stalls chose to not open as there is no pattern in those who have been shut down. Social distanc...

Why Was George Floyd Treated So Badly And Why There Are Protests All Over The U.S : A Tribute To George Floyd (4 Minute Read)

Hello everyone, Today I will be discussing the incident that has just taken place. The incident is the killing of George Floyd. In case you do not know what the incident is here is a quick summary. George Floyd was stopped by the police because they suspected he had illegally printed notes. When they stopped him he walked out of the car while all the cops but one searched his car. The last policeman stops outside and put his knee into the man's neck to stop him from running away. This was not needed and that was what has raised a lot of controversies. The man then died from suffocation from the man who was putting his knee on the man's neck. People are now saying that the knee to the neck was completely unnecessary. People are now also saying that this would not have happened if the man had been a white person. They are now saying that racism is terrible because it can be the difference between life and death. So today I will be giving my view on the event that has been caus...

I Get Paid Zero Dollars?

Hello everyone,  Today I will be writing about the singers who sing at the Super Bowl. As you may know, these singers do not get paid to perform in the Super Bowl. Some singers have actually turned down the offer because of this while others have taken the opportunity anyway, believing it will get them a higher profile. Today I will be going over the pros and cons of singing at the super bowl such as popularity and other things such as cost and more. First off let's start with some of the potential benefits of performing in the super bowl. One benefit could be that it is a good way to boost your popularity as millions of people watch you perform. Another thing that I have thought of is quite similar to the previous one. The value of advertisements during the super bowl is quite high. A 30-second commercial cost 5.6 million dollars. A Super Bowl performance goes on for about 12 minutes long. If you were to air a commercial for that long, however, it would cost around 120 milli...

Should Technology Skills Be A Subject Taught In All Schools? (4 Minute Read)

Hello Everyone, Where are you reading this essay now? Chances are that you are reading this from a device like a phone or a computer. Where did you learn to use that device? Chances are that you learned to use it by teaching yourself. Well, what if I told you that there are classes all about how to use a phone, keyboard shortcuts on a computer and so much more about technology? This is a class that is being taught in countless schools around the world. That is right, schools around the world are teaching electronic skills. Today I will be showing you exactly why this subject should be taught in every school around the world. Screens are all around us. Whether it is a television screen that you watch the morning news on or even the computer that you do your work on screens are all around us. These screens have many secrets that we could use to help us use them more efficiently. One well-known example of this is keyboard shortcuts for things like pasting or copying. There are man...

Why Should We All Watch Black Panther? (5 Minute Read)

Hello everyone, I am sure that you have heard of the movie Black Panther.  You may love it, you may hate it, or you may never have watched it. Whichever one of the categories you fall into, I hope that you will turn to the first category after reading this essay. Black Panther was a movie made by the cinematic company Marvel. Marvel makes superhero movies like the Avengers and Black Panther was a perfect fit for their next movie. The whole plot was that there was a country called Wakanda that the rest of the world thinks is a developing country. Though, Wakanda is the hub of all technology. It has technology that is far beyond what any other country is making and the reason why they have such great technology is because of an ore called Vibranium. Vibranium allows them to advance their technology to amazing heights. Nobody else in the world can know about the Vibranium though because if they do then there will be a war erupting over it. This is why they are keeping their tech...

Is Protesting A Fundemental Value Of Democracy? (4 Minute Read)

Hello everyone, I know I have not written in a while and I would like to say that I probably will not be writing like I used to for some time. I will be trying to write posts like this from time to time though. This is an essay that I wrote about whether or not protesting is a fundamental value of democracy. Enjoy! I believe that protesting is a fundamental value of democracy. I have many reasons but I will only talk about a few. The first one that I would like to talk about is the "Why" of the situation. There is always a reason why something is happening. Sometimes the reason will be valid but at other times, it is not so valid. Nevertheless, it does not matter whether a reason is valid or not. It still falls under a fundamental value of democracy. Another thing to be taken into consideration is the "When" of the situation. For example, if people are protesting and asking for Smallpox to be eradicated then it is less valid as Smallpox has already been eradicated....

Should We Restore Important Works Of Art As They Decay Or Should We Let Them Age Natrually? (2 Minute Read)

Hello everyone, Have you ever pondered about whether or not the creator of the Notre dame truly wanted us to restore his craft to a modified version that is sort of a rip-off or if he wanted us to enjoy the work until it broke down and then remember it in our hearts? Chances are that you probably have never thought about this. Well, today I  will show reasons that you would never think about as to why we should let historical monuments be demolished by nature without us interfering. First of all, making new versions of the old artwork is disrespectful to the original artist because it is kind of like he or she has a copyright on it since they were the original people who made them, that is not us. Then when we make a new version of the original artwork it is kind of like we are ripping off the original artist of their original work and creativity by making a new version that does not capture the original ones glory as well as the fact that we are not giving the original person...
